My Pitch

 During this process of making a pitch for my opening sequence, I have come up with two pitches I believe would be a great fit.

Pitch #1

• A boy has constantly been watched for a long period of time due to all the money and wealth he has and the stalker has finally shown himself and is trying to kidnap and put the boy in the car.

I'm interested in making this film because it gives off a sense of stalker that could lead to action if called for. So I went for the objective to give for a male main character because it would make sense for someone that is being stalked to be easily pursued by someone in the shadows. The amount of wealth the pursuer has seen that the boy has, has led the stalker of the boy to try and get hold of all of his wealth by kidnapping him. For the opening sequence, I would put the main character the boy in a very open location where it looks very easy to kidnap him. Id then shows the main character walking flashing money around drawing a lot of attention to himself. While being accompanied by his friend. Once that scene has concluded I would then have the stalker visible to the camera in a far distance. Then since this is an opening scene I would have the stalker run towards the boy trying to grab him and his money. As this is all going down you'll see a car pull up and due to the 2-minute time limit. This allows for the crowd to be stuck in awe to know if the boy will be kidnapped or not. I think this would be a great fit.

Pitch #2

• A boy has been recently talking to an online friend that he thinks is the same age as him but, little does he know they are not and he has recently been talking to a pedophile and they plan to meet up at a local park.

I am not as interested in making this film as I am in making the film in pitch 1. This film would be about the dangers of the internet world. How a boy has been tricked into thinking his online friend was the same age as him and they could meet up and play together. I'm less interested in this film because it wouldn't have as much suspense and action that would grab the audience's attention. The beginning of this film would have the boy and his online friend chatting through text on a social media app like Snapchat. It seems very logical but the audience would need more to grab their attention. Having a boy and a pedophile have a conversation and later meet up at a park does sound like it could lead up to something crazy. But, the audience would need their attention grabbed very quickly.

Ultimately, the pitch I have chosen to go with would be pitch number one. As stated I believe pitch 1 would be more suitable yo my needs in producing a successful opening sequence to my film. Grabbing the audience's attention and intriguing them for what's gonna happen next. Seeing the main character enjoying life with all his wealth. Later to be attacked by his stalker leaving many ideas to be added after the opening sequence.
